Job Overview

We’re looking for an Events & Field Marketing Manager to take full ownership of planning, organizing, and executing our external-facing events. These include industry conferences, Salesforce events, sponsorships, and our own branded experiences. You’ll act as the key project manager who brings together marketing, sales, design, and external vendors to make our presence at each event impactful and ROI-driven.

 

Technical / Functional Competencies

Essential:

  • 3–6 years of experience managing B2B industry events, trade shows, or field marketing programs
  • Proven ability to project manage end-to-end event logistics and deadlines
  • Strong communication and vendor coordination skills
  • Experience working with sales teams to align event objectives and outreach
  • Familiarity with marketing asset planning and coordination (brochures, booth designs, banners, swag, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with designers, content teams, and PMMs
Desired:
  • Experience managing or contributing to Salesforce ecosystem events (Dreamforce, World Tour, etc.)
  • Experience booking pre-event meetings and coordinating with account executives or SDRs
  • Familiarity with marketing and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) for tracking leads and event performance
  • Experience working with booth vendors, printers, and event agencies
  • Understanding of basic budgeting and sponsorship negotiation

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Maintain a quarterly event calendar (3rd-party & SMS-Magic–owned)
  • Finalize events/sponsorships with marketing & leadership
  • Manage logistics: booth, assets, shipping, travel, etc.
  • Coordinate with event organizers and internal teams for deliverables

Sales Alignment & Pre-Event Prep

  • Align with sales on attendee roles and outreach
  • Support pre-event meeting scheduling
  • Provide sales with collateral and messaging

Event Execution & Follow-Up

  • Oversee on-site logistics and lead capture
  • Track ROI and report on event outcomes
  • ​​​​​​​Ensure lead follow-up and CRM updates

Owned Events

  • Plan and run SMS-Magic webinars, roundtables, and meetups
  • ​​​​​​​Manage venues, invites, platforms, and follow-ups

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Metrics

  • Event Execution: Number of events executed per quarter without delays or issues
  • Lead Generation: Leads captured and qualified from events
  • Meeting Bookings: Number of pre-booked meetings in coordination with sales
  • Event ROI: Pipeline influenced or generated from event participation
  • Collaboration Quality: Timely coordination with design, sales, and content teams
  • Budget Management: Stay within allocated event budgets while maximizing impact
